So Honda is bringing back the Rebel – if you know what that name signifies, you’ll also know that a whole bunch of riders learnt the art of motorcycling on one of these back in the late 80s and 90s. For 2017, the Honda Rebel comes with either a 300 or a 500 suffix – borrowing engines from the CBR300R and the CBR500R. There’s a trellis-style tubular frame, conventional forks up front and twin coil springs at the back along with nice, fat rubber mounted on slick-looking wheel rims too.

But here’s the clincher – the 2017 Honda Rebel is made to be customised, and these pictures prove that the results are not only simple to achieve, but they look stunning as well. These were in fact showcased right at the unveil and we’re sure there will be custom design houses out there who are just itching to do an even better job!

For those not in the know, Aviator Nation has some really cool merchandise in their online store and nothing is cooler than a fashion conscious brand lending their visual expertise to a motorcycle. OK, so there isn’t much customisation happening on this one – except for a paint job and that sexy, ribbed leather seat. Who cares? It’s Aviator Nation and this is cool!

How about this one then? Chopped front mudguard, springy single seat, monkey bars, bright yellow tank, striking blue swingarm, custom graphics on the side and that all-black headlamp make for a stunning cruiser with loads of attitude. And then comes the custom exhaust neatly tucked under the engine with the chopped tail.
Now, wouldn’t you just love cruising around town on something that looks like that?

Then there’s this monster mod on the Rebel 500. Camouflage blue paint job that extends on to the engine, slick LED headlight wrapped in an aggressive bikini fairing, an additional fairing on the front covering up the radiator with a very A-10 Warthog motif, fat performance exhaust ending in a carbon-fibre can, uprated Ohlins rear suspension and a performance air filter just peaking out from under the seat make for a machine that is making us drool.
This one by the way, is our favourite!
