Buddhasen Vishwakarma, a 55-year old carpenter hailing from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh has just gifted Prime Minister Narendra Modi a wooden motorcycle replica.
According to a report by Newsroom Post, the model is barely three-feet high and is built out of waste wood. The craftwork is pretty detailed – from the clocks atop the round headlamp to the grooves on the tyres – and all the elements look proportional to the size of the motorbike .
In a statement to Hindustan Times, Vishwakarma said that he gifted the wooden motorbike to the Prime Minister in order to fulfil his 12-year-old daughter’s wish. The father of five was initially turned down at the PM’s residence owing to security reasons. Later, however, when Vishwakarma returned, the security personnel allowed him access but not before a thorough two-hour long security check.
